ASUS ROG Repture GT6 tri-band gaming router with Wi-Fi 6 support was introduced

The new Asus gaming router, with its eye-catching design, is considered the company's first multi-piece gaming modem, which will be available to buyers in late 2022, supporting two 5 GHz bands and one 2.4 GHz band.

Currently, Asus makes some of the most popular gaming routers on the market and sells several attractive mesh systems. This brand has now introduced a new mesh router called ROG Rapture GT6, which provides users with very attractive features.

Asus' ROG Rapture GT6, a multi-device mesh gaming series, was announced today at the Gamescom video game trade show in Germany, and is set to launch in North America by the end of 2022. The two-piece model of this product with a fancy three-band design and full support for the fastest Wi-Fi 6 standard will be available at a price of $600.

Asus GT6 modem is a tri-band system. The device offers two 5 GHz bands, each of which allows data transfer at a speed of 4800 Mbps (4.8 Gbps), and also supports a 2.4 GHz band at a speed of 574 Mbps. This product uses one of the 5 GHz bands as a dedicated wireless backhaul between the main router and its antenna; However, you can connect two devices together with an Ethernet cable to achieve better performance.

This probably seems like a good idea for the GT6; because each device has a multi-gigabit WAN jack that can support incoming Internet speed up to 2.5 Gbps; While it is also compatible with LAN aggregation. This feature allows the user to use multiple Ethernet jacks simultaneously to achieve faster combined speeds. So, if you need a very fast, multi-gigabit Internet connection, you can choose a dual-wire backhaul that will transmit multi-gigabit speeds first to the antennas and then to your wireless device.

According to CNET, the new Asus router uses a beautiful design that we have rarely seen in similar products. This structure looks more like a small gaming computer than a regular modem; So, if you've already bought a bunch of fancy ROG gaming gear, it might be a good idea to add this product to your gaming gear list. Of course, if you're just looking for home networking hardware that won't go out of style with your living room decor, you're probably better off looking for other models.

The Asus router program provides various gaming features and capabilities to the owners of this company's routers; Where you can optimize your connection to specific game servers or manage latency and port forwarding settings. GT6 also supports 160 MHz channel; A feature that is necessary to use the maximum capacity of Wi-Fi 6 and the ability of this standard to transfer a huge amount of data at a very high speed from previous generation Wi-Fi devices.

The Asus GT6 modem has an additional 160 MHz channel in the 5.9 GHz band that can be used to increase backhaul capacity. This feature can improve mesh performance and speed in areas of bandwidth-hungry users or help prevent interference with adjacent networks.

The 5.9 GHz band is reserved for newer wireless routers; Therefore, users with Wi-Fi devices compatible with this band will experience less connection interference than before, especially in office or apartment environments where many nearby Wi-Fi 5 networks are likely to compete for a better signal.

Other GT6 features include Asus Instant Guard, which lets you connect to your home network while traveling via VPN, security scans, and parental control capabilities. Asus says that buyers of this router will have access to the aforementioned features for life. The company has announced that the ROG Rapture GT6 gaming router will enter the US market by the fourth quarter of this year.
